Contact

By e-mail: contact@529statetax.com. There is no form, no newsletter and no call-back: a 529 page that wants your phone number usually wants to sell you an advisor-sold plan with a sales charge, and this site has nothing to sell.

The messages that improve the site

  • A state legislature changed its 529 deduction, credit, cap or income limit: send the bill number or the revenue department page and we update that state's row and its date.
  • A state published guidance on K-12 withdrawals, the 529 to Roth IRA rollover or the 2025 federal changes that our table still lists as "not stated".
  • A source link on a state page now returns an error or points to a newer edition of the instructions.
  • You run a school, a PTA or a credit union newsletter and want the calculator on your own page: the code is on the embed page.

What we cannot answer

We do not say which plan or portfolio to pick, and we do not read your tax return. A binding answer on a deduction comes from your state revenue department or a tax preparer; on an account, from the plan's own program manager.

Results are estimates built from each state’s published rule, your figures and the assumptions you set (return, cost rise). They are not tax, legal or investment advice for your own case; your state revenue department or a tax professional can confirm it. Nobody pays us to point you to a plan.
